Timeout review 2006 - "If you’re looking for an old-school blokey bolthole, then you should probably head elsewhere. But if you want somewhere pleasant, airy and friendly to while away time, both day and night, the Angelic is hard to beat. There’s something wonderfully welcoming about its huge windows, high ceilings and sofa tucked away by the fireplace. Plus, as well as a good selection of draught ales and wines, there’s a juice bar. That, and its veggie-friendly gastropub menu, may make it the healthiest pub in London - which could explain why well over half the punters on our latest visit were female. The Angelic is so downright cheery that they even pipe stand-up comedy into the toilets. Pubs don’t get much more civilised than this".
